about

The word is out, the first move has been made, Piri Piri label is a fact. Debuting with the first release Piri Piri 001: A collection of four dance floor heaters in different African styles.

The sampler starts off with Deela. His take on one of Zamrock inventors Rikki Ililonga's "Sansa Kuwa" lights out the incredible bounce and adds to it some tough bass and fire!

Second in line are Alma Negra, a Swiss crew that already have some sweet edits floating around on Sofrito and Basic Fingers. "Kuduro Da Alma" is one of their original tracks that will turn dance floors into a voodoo circle with it's Kudoro based rhythms and hypnotism.

Umoja brings euphoric happiness to the bunch with their version of "Malako", an incredible Congolese soukous-style song. Re-arranged and with subtle additions, this beauty is optimized for joyful dancers worldwide.

Closing of in style with an edit by one of the tropical kings of digging, mr. Nomad Uno. His Vulkandance edit of Quim dos Santos' "N'Genji" stays true to the original: A cheerful Angolan piece of heaven. This anthem will guarantee to warm up hearts and therefore has already successfully concluded some of our nights.
